SISU: ROAD TO REVENGE is a wall-to-wall cinematic action event, a sequel to the original sleeper hit SISU. Returning to the house where his family was brutally murdered during the war, "the man who refuses to die" (Jorma Tommila) dismantles it, loads it on a truck, and is determined to rebuild it somewhere safe in their honor. When the Red Army commander who killed his family (Stephen Lang from Don't Breathe) comes back hellbent on finishing the job, a relentless, eye-popping cross-country chase ensues -- a fight to the death, full of clever, unbelievable action set pieces.

The Times (UK)

The writer-director Jalmari Helander invests the set-pieces with a welcome air of Looney Tunes absurdity, somehow neutralising the horror of mass murder.

This larger-scaled sequel almost inevitably lacks some of the freshness that made the original such a kick. Still, the director’s undeniable flair for gleefully excessive mayhem and propulsive pacing will more than satisfy those who loved its predecessor.

Road to Revenge is lean, and necessarily so, as it’s one note. The bloody orgy of bullets and metal mangled mayhem likely isn’t for all, but will certainly please fans of the original.

Had high hopes, but Sisu didn't quite hit the mark. The action was intense, but story left thin. it didn't live up to expectations.
