Critics Consensus

Cleverly layering a thoughtful message onto another crackerjack caper while solidifying Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde as one of the most endearing buddy pairings in ages, Zootopia 2 more than justifies a return trip to the big city.

The Travers Take

The sequel feels safer than the original and I’m sorry about that. But ‘Zootopia 2’ with its zippity-doo animation and surprises around every corner gets the job done.

It makes for a work that’s more expansive and action-packed, if also a bit bloated.

It took nearly 10 years to get a sequel, but Disney makes good on the wait with Zootopia 2: a movie filled with some incredible jokes, charming voice cast, and a good helping of important messages.

Byron Howard and Jared Bush have a smart sequel on their hands as they’ve retained everything we loved about the first film without feeling like it’s a total rehash.

It's a pleasure to watch 'Zootopia 2' because you genuinely feel that a team has been working behind the scenes, polishing the script, the animation, the characters' journeys, and the humor, rather than just lining their pockets. [Full review in Spanish]

I went in with high hopes.but I found it too fast paced to follow, too overstimulating and the story weak. I love Disney movies but this was a flop for me.
